Who needs Stock Throughput Insurance?

One of the greatest risks associated with cargo actually occurs while the cargo is being loaded or offloaded, or moved from storage to transit. This type of risk could result in different insurers arguing as to who was responsible at the moment the merchandise is damaged or stolen. A Stock Throughput Insurance policy provides you with peace of mind that one insurer is covering your cargo from the cradle to the grave. This leaves no room for any gaps or grey areas in the protection of your cargo.

At Conway E&S we have access to numerous admitted & non-admitted markets so that we can tailor a program to meet your needs.  Our premiums start at $1,500. All Conway needs to provide you with a custom quote is a completed Cargo and Property Acord application including COPE information on any warehouse or storage facility.

2011 Year End Message from the President

It has been a good, but challenging year for Conway E&S, Inc.  We met our goals in 2011 but it took a lot of diligence, hard work, and strong client and carrier relationships to do so.  The market is “hardening” on very specific coverage and industries just as we suspected and clients and insured’s are accepting slight 5-10% increases on renewals.  Insured’s in tougher classes and with poor performance are accepting larger increases as there are fewer and fewer carriers willing to buy market-share.  We expect this to be the continued trend in 2012 as there is still plenty of capacity in the market.

We are looking to grow in 2012 by continuing to strengthen our current relationships and product offerings.  We are also carefully expanding our client base in new geographic territories through the expansion of our branch offices in York,Pa (Conway Northeast) and San Diego,CA (Conway West).

A wholesale broker, by definition, exists to co-represent insured’s at the direction and leadership of their retail insurance broker.  When we help our retail broker succeed, we succeed.  Thank you for partnering with us to meet the needs of your clients.  It is an honor and a privilege to work with you and we look forward to a great 2012!

Energy: Oil and Gas Equipment

Conway has been committed to the energy sector for 15 years. Our knowledge, experience and response in this industry help us to bring new markets to our clients. We have a new inland marine carrier for oil and gas contractors’ equipment. There are very few brokers with access to this market throughout the country.

- Admitted carrier A XIV
- 5,000 M.P
- No capacity issues
- Flood and quake can be included
- No underground equipment
- 15% commission with this carrier

Of course, we have several other markets that write underground, down hole, or just about any other type of equipment you can think of.

Conway West Making a Difference

One thing that has been part of the Conway E&S DNA from day one is the belief in supporting the local community. We have found that doing so fosters a winning environment for all involved. In the insurance world, through organizations like the IBA, we are able to not only support great businesses, but also other organizations such as those who do charitable work. This is something Conway will always be proud to be a part of, and if it has to happen on a golf course…well you certainly won’t have to twist our arms! Continue reading
